Turghun Almas was born in October 30, 1924 In
Qaxqer. In was put in the jail from 1943 - 1946, again from July 1947 -
April 1949 for his political activities. 1950, he went to Ghulja joined the
"Azzatliq" newspaper as an editor.
Turghun Almas passed away on September 11, 2001, at age 77, in Urumci. He is considered as a Uighur historian and poet. |
