	Ili deryasini boylap kitip berip, Qumux bulaqqa kelgende alma sitip olturghan bir kiciq qizni kurdum. Bu qizning ismi Sabirem iken, tetilde hoylisidiki almisini sitivitiptu. Bu Ghuljining yerlik senter almisi bolup, kilosini 2 yuan iken. Sabirem bilen qaldurghan hatire. When I was walking along the Ili river, I saw a little girl selling apples at Qumux Bulaq. The girl's name is Sabirem. She is selling home grown apples. She sells apples for 2 yuan a kilo (about 15 cents per pound). I took this picture with Sabirem.
	Ili kitap hanining aldidiki vaskici bala. Kicik vahtimda, men neq muxu bala olturghan yerde ayagh maylighan. Men ayagh maylighanda bir jup ayaghni 20 tiyinge maylattuq. Hazir 1 yuan alidiken. This boy shines shoes in front of a bookstore in Ili. When I was a young boy, I sat in the same place as this boy and shined shoes myself. I used to make 20 cents per pair of shoes, nowadays, the boy asks for 1 yuan.
	Kexlik bazarda kitip birip Texlepkining aldigha kelgende, oyidin ciqip ixik aldida olturghan Hisamkamni kurdum. Hisam bilen qaldurghan hatire. While walking to the night bazaar, I saw Mr. Hisam (a famous Uighur comedian) sitting in front of his doorway. I used the opportunity to take a picture with him.
	Seherde, Oylerge sut toxuydighan sutci bala. This is the morning milk boy delivering milk in the neighborhood.
